Good retelling of the Sandra Myres biography of Sam Myres, 1961. FYI his lover, Eva, did not have TB: she was a heroin addict and Sam’s money was funding her; she was arrested with enough heroin to kill two hundred people and died when the local coppers made her withdraw ‘cold turkey’. The symptoms of both deaths are similar and the TB story was more palatable for Sandra who only knew what the surviving Myres told her.
