2026 Youth Online Wallet Competition

Official Rules and Procedures for Participants and Parents 

Eligibility 

·        Age Range: Entrants must be between 5-17 years old. 

·        Calendar Year Requirement: Wallets must be made during the current calendar year. 

·        New Condition: Only wallets in new, unused condition are eligible. 

·        Leather Only: Wallets must be constructed entirely from leather materials. 

·        Functional Wallet: Entries must be functional wallets designed for everyday use. 

Everyone who enters will receive a follow-up letter from one of our Master Leatherworkers discussing their wallet. The letter will include encouraging, constructive feedback about their work and suggestions that can help them continue developing their leatherworking skills.

We want every young maker who enters to walk away feeling proud of what they created and excited about what they can make next.

Categories 

·        Tooled Wallet: Wallets featuring decorative tooling. 

·        Untooled Wallet: Plain wallets with no tooling. 

Entry Fee & Limits 

·        Entry Fee: $15 per wallet submitted. 

·        Entry Limit: Each entrant may submit up to three wallets total (ie. 2 untooled + 1 tooled for one child). 

Photo Submission Guidelines 

·        Photo Limit: Up to three photos per wallet entry, including interior shot. 

·        Quality Standards: Photos must be clear, well-lit, and show all relevant details. 

·        Event Rights: The event reserves the right to use submitted photos for promotional purposes. 

·        No Changes: No changes to entry photos after voting opens. 

Voting Process 

·        People's Choice: Voting will be conducted via an online platform. 

·        Voting Dates: Public voting will be open on Thursday, November 5th at 9am PT and close on Friday, November 6th at 10pm PT. 

·        One Vote Per Category: Each voter may cast one vote per category. 

How to Vote 

·        Official Platform: Votes must be submitted through the designated event website. 

·        Valid Votes Only: All votes must comply with platform requirements; invalid votes will be removed. 

Fair Voting Policy 

·        No Automated Votes: Automated or manipulated voting is strictly prohibited. 

·        Audit Rights: Organizers may audit voting results for fairness. 

·        Disqualification: Entries found to benefit from unfair practices will be disqualified. 

Prize & Payout 

·        Prize Package: 50% of entry fee pool allocated to each category + sponsor prize package (tba). 

·        Winner Per Category: One winner selected for each category. 

·        Payout Timing: Prizes will be distributed within seven days after winner announcement, if not present. 

Promotion & Conduct 

·        Promotion Encouraged: Entrants are encouraged to promote their entry responsibly. 

·        No Misconduct: Harassment or unethical behavior is grounds for disqualification. 

Winner Announcement 

·        Announcement Date: Winners will be announced on the official event platform on Saturday, November 7th at 12pm PT.  

·        Final Decisions: All decisions made by the event organizers are final.
