About the Instructor:
Sheryl Katzke discovered leathercraft in 1997 and soon became immersed in tooling and braiding under the guidance of respected masters. By 2001, she had specialized in kangaroo and rawhide braiding, mastering round braids, edge braiding, and intricate knots. Since 2005, she has taught at major events including the Rocky Mountain Leather Trade Show and Elktracks Studio Creations. Sheryl’s work has earned numerous top awards, from Best of Show at county fairs to international recognition at the World Leather Debut and the International Federation of Leather Guilds Convention. She is passionate about passing on the artistry of braiding and knotwork to the next generation of makers.
