In this class students will learn
Students will learn to focus on the finer details of floral carving such as detailed swivel knife work, more controlled use of stamping tools, creating finer textures, and getting better depth and dimension in the leather.
Students are asked to bring:
Students need to have a stamping stone, mallet or maul, stylus, swivel knife, strop, modeling spoon, and small to medium sizes of floral stamping tools including camouflages, pear shaders, bevelers, veiners, seeders, and background tools such as A104. A stop and mule's foot, shell tools, matting style background tools, wigglers, pointed bevelers, low angle bevelers such as figure bevelers, a fine hair blade, and petal lifters are highly recommended. Headlamps can be useful in classroom settings where lighting is not ideal.
