Ready to start designing your own leather bags—but not sure where to begin? In Fearless Pattern Making, Odin Clack of Odin Leather Goods walks you through his approachable, no-perfection-required method for creating patterns and prototypes.

This step-by-step class is perfect for anyone who's ever felt stuck staring at a blank page. You'll learn how to use basic materials like chipboard and a Sharpie to sketch, cut, and test your bag ideas—without burning through expensive leather.

Odin’s style is fast, intuitive, and confidence-building. You’ll learn how to think in panels, mock up a gusset without doing any complicated math, and build out your ideas in 3D before ever committing to your final materials. It’s a game-changing process for leatherworkers who want to create original bag designs or tweak existing ones with ease.

With a focus on practical techniques and fearless action, this class helps you move forward, make adjustments, and avoid the stress of getting it “perfect” on the first try.

Whether you’re designing your first bag or improving your patterning workflow, this course gives you a reliable system—and the mindset to just get started.

About Your Instructor:                                                                                                   Odin was born and raised in Galveston, Texas, in a family of four, where he learned the value of hard work and dedication from his parents. He attended Texas A&M University, where he met his wife, Rachelle.

Today, Odin balances a full-time career as Director of Global Digital Marketing at a mid-sized health and wellness company with raising two energetic children. Alongside his professional responsibilities, he has steadily grown a handmade leather goods brand, Odin Leather Goods (www.OdinLeatherGoods.com).

What began as a hobby has developed into a serious craft and a meaningful creative outlet. The company now serves customers around the world.

In his corporate role, Odin leads online strategy and oversees the management of more than 35 websites, mobile apps, and digital tools. His background includes consulting, web design, print design, and sales. Outside of work hours, he focuses on designing and building leather goods by hand.

When not working or creating, Odin spends time with his family, rides Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and trains in jiu jitsu. His schedule is full, and intentionally so.
