Take your sheath-making skills further with George Cubic in this Foldover Pouch Sheath for the Buck 110 course. While we also offer a traditional pouch sheath class, this course focuses on the foldover design, giving you another versatile approach to knife sheaths.

In this hands-on project, you’ll learn how to:

  • Create a custom foldover pattern for the Buck 110 (or similar knives)
  • Safely and effectively use a variety of tools — even those not designed specifically for leathercraft
  • Start building an eye for aesthetics and design details
  • Apply a striking camo dye technique for a one-of-a-kind finish

By the end of the course, you’ll have a sheath that’s both functional and visually unique — plus a set of techniques you can apply to other knife styles and leather projects. Packed with George’s expert tips and practical guidance, this class is a great way to expand your leatherworking skill set.

About Your Instructor:                                                                                                    George Cubic has been working leather since 1976, when he began repairing tack while serving in the U.S. Air Force. Over the decades he studied traditional leathercraft techniques from cobblers, harness makers, and masters like Al Stohlman, developing deep expertise in saddle stitching, basket stamping, and leather fabrication.

Today George runs Viktor George Leather Goods in Ajo, Arizona, where he builds rugged, repairable leather goods and teaches others the craft through workshops, classes, and online instruction. A self-proclaimed “shade tree leatherworker”, George blends traditional skills with practical problem-solving to keep classic leatherworking methods alive for the next generation of makers.
