About Your Instructor:
Ty Skiver has been a boot maker and leather craftsman for over 30 years. Ty’s tooling often features western and rodeo-inspired figures including bareback and saddle broncs, and cowboy scenes that are unmatched in the boot-making world. As stated in a Western Horseman article in 2022, “The hidden artwork Skiver expertly weaves into traditional scrollwork is a signature mark of his leatherwork.” The shop in Fallon, Nevada serves as home base, but you’ll find him on the road at western lifestyle events across the country including Mule Alley in Fort Worth during The American and also in Las Vegas during the National Finals Rodeo. Fitting and design experiences are available by appointment.
