Sculpting with Leather by Annie Libertini

Class Description:

Annie Libertini is well known for her sculpted leather masks, flowers, and other 3D leather art. In this one day workshop Annie will teach you a range of sculpting techniques, including molding leather over a form, sculpting it by hand with minimal tools and everyday objects, and combining different sculpted elements. The form we will be molding leather over will be yours to keep after the class.

Students Will Learn:

• Students will learn how to mold leather over a form to make a decorative frame, shape leather by hand to create a 3-D branch and flowers, and how to finish and assemble the the different pieces together.

• What to Bring:

  • Note taking materials,
  • misting spray bottle, stylus,
  • ball modeler,
  • small and large modeling spoons,
  • safety beveler or preferred skiving blade,
  • cutting mat, x-acto or similar fine cutting blade.
